BugSplat Customer Acquired By Google
Henniker, NH March 31, 2006 - BugSplat customer @Last Software recently announced the acquistion of their company by Google. The BugSplat team wants to extend our congratulations to @Last and looks forward to providing continuing support to their products now that they are part of Google.
The Sketchup product is the darling of the AEC industry, and BugSplat remains an integral part of their development and QA process. The @Last team has a long history of using BugSplat to provide better customer service and increased reliability through the monitoring of crash reports.
Here is what John Ulmer, manager of software development at SketchUp had to say about BugSplat in a recent press release:
"At SketchUp our 20,000 users have a fanatic regard for our 3D Design software but the engineering team had nagging doubts; we knew there were problems but the customers were not accurate or reliable in reporting bugs and we could not always connect the dots. Incorporating BugSplat was an engineering changing event. Humbling at first, we had 10 times as many crashes as we thought the customers were experiencing! But BugSplat analysis identified and allowed us to fix the bugs really affecting our customers and software quality. BugSplat is now an indispensable part of our engineering process."
BugSplat looks forward to seeing more exciting things from the @Last team now that they are part of Google. You can read more about the Google acquisition of @Last Software at http://www.sketchup.com/index.php?id=1439
